Shannon and James brought elegance, chaos, romance, and a secret Paris elopement reveal into one incredible day at one of Toronto’s most iconic hotel wedding venues.
This dreamy Rattray Marsh engagement session with Amelia & Andy had everything: golden light, real connection, and peaceful forest vibes. A perfect Mississauga shoot for couples who love nature, calm energy, and a touch of magic.

Walking down the bustling and trendy Queen Street in downtown Toronto, past the tattoo parlours, boutique clothing stores, and dispensaries, it’s easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle of the city and never notice the hidden gem that is The Lodge On Queen
Ok, so we may be kind of obsessed with Kelso Conservation Area in Milton. It was our third time shooting an engagement shoot there in 12 months, and we are already excited for the next time! Kelso Conservation Area just has so many unique and fun spots to shoot at, endless possibilities to create, and when we have an amazingly fun couple like Jordana and Jeremy to come along for the ride, Diego and I have to work hard to contain our excitement.

One of our favourite parts of being wedding photographers is the connections and friendships we build with our couples. It’s even more special when those connections extend to the family and friends as well. We met Madeline and Corey a few years back at Shelby and Adam’s wedding at the Stonewall Estate, where Madeline was a bridesmaid for her sister Shelby and Corey was a groomsman for Adam.
Diego and I have been waiting for Becky and Kyle’s wedding for the past 2.5 years. I remember so clearly our first meeting with them, where we sat and chatted for close to 3 hours about everything from their wedding to life in general. It was like catching up with old friends. At that time though I remember us thinking that 2.5 years is ages from now
Let me tell you, Diego and I are not morning people. Not even a tiny bit. But when an amazingly cool couple, like Christine and Cesar, tells us they want to do a sunrise engagement shoot, we are out of bed and on site long before the couple has arrived. Unlike sunset engagement shoots, where we can take our time enjoying the sunset colours
One of my favourite things about living in Canada is experiencing the four seasons and everything they have to offer. It’s always so much fun to see how some of our favourite spots change with the seasons so we were beyond excited when Kyla and Riley chose Kelso Conservation Area for their summer engagement shoot.
The sweet backyard wedding of Julee and Martin had Diego and I leave with sore cheeks from all the smiling and laughing, for you see, Julee and Martin have the most infectious smiles and laughs, and absolutely the biggest hearts! When we arrived at the family home to begin capturing their big day, the home was already full with so much love and joy from everyone around them. While Julee was getting all dolled up and ready for her first look with Martin, family and friends were all around helping to finalize and set up all the last minute details for the outdoor backyard ceremony and reception.
Reza and Shadi contacted us just days before their upcoming wedding. As soon as it was announced that some Covid restrictions were lifting in Ontario, they jumped at the opportunity to say their I do’s in front of their closest family and friends in their family backyard. Shadi and Reza’s wedding, with its gorgeous backyard decor and cultural elements, mouth watering Persian food, and lots of love and laughter surrounding the couple, was the perfect example that even the smallest and most intimate wedding can be the most magical and memorable days of your life.
Reena and Jeff’s intimate fall ceremony wedding at The Carvers Cottage had us swooning from the moment we drove onto the long winding rode taking us deep into the exquisite 35-acre family-run property where a stunning outdoor chapel/covered bridge and a picturesque bridal cabin, along with gorgeous turquoise ponds and wildflower fields, lay nestled among the woods. Wood carvings and sculptures created by Sandra and Luke Andrews, the owners of The Carvers Cottage
It’s not everyday you get to shoot a wedding at a National Historic Site, so when we got the opportunity to come back to LIUNA Station in Hamilton for Carolyn and Tom’s wedding, we were just so excited! We were last there for Jeanine and Reza’s spring LIUNA Station wedding, and while weddings this year are nothing like what they were then due to the pandemic, we knew we could still count on the extravagance and opulance of both the architecture and decor of LIUNA Station
Jassica and Steven are one of many couples who decided to postpone their wedding celebrations until next year because of the pandemic, but they were not ready to completely give up on their wedding plans for this year just yet. They decided to go a head and get married in a beautiful, albeit socially distanced, church ceremony in Fort Erie. Jassica and Steven both got ready at the Clarion Hotel in Fort Erie with only their bridesmaids and groomsmen around to help them get ready.
One of the perks of being a wedding photographer is that you get to discover your own city and its surroundings. There are so many hidden gems around, so many parks and historic locations that we’d have never heard of if it weren’t for our awesome couples. Just last month, Christina and Travis introduced us to Rouge National Urban Park.
Like most couples getting married in 2020, Brittany and Stefano had a very different vision for what their wedding would look. They were planning a banquet hall wedding with hundreds of guests in attendance to celebrate their big day, but then the pandemic hit and plans had to change. While many couples chose to postpone their wedding, Brittany and Stefano pressed on and quickly put together an absolutely magical backyard wedding on Stefano’s family property.

Deborah and Erik were planning on getting married this year in an intimate wedding ceremony in New York City, that’s until Covid happened and turned everyone’s plans upside down. With all the uncertainty of the current world events, Deborah and Erik did not want to postpone the wedding any further and simply wanted to finally marry one another.
We’re back!! After a several month long hiatus as a result of all the craziness happening this year, we were finally able to get back behind the camera to capture the sweet and intimate quarantine wedding of Iryna and Dennis at Old Mill Toronto. Despite not being able to host their wedding at Old Mill Toronto as initially planned, Iryna and Dennis simply could not wait to marry each other and start this new chapter of their lives.
Oh how we missed shooting! How we missed meeting our couples! It’s so good to be back, and there was no better way to restart the wedding season than with a romantic Prince Edward County engagement shoot featuring the cutest couple, Emily and Jon. It’s always a little funny to me when we first meet a couple and we hear one of them apologize in advance because they are “awkward” in front of the camera. Yep, it always takes a couple of moments to get used to the camera and to us running around you, but that’s all - it never lasts more than that.
Two words that I never thought would go together as well as they do are in fact the perfect description for The Fermenting Cellar wedding of Stephanie & Reilly-James - Industrial Romantic… What makes The Fermenting Cellar so special and so romantic though despite the cold limestone walls and heavy rusted machinery is the rich history of The Distillery District, and the perfect blend of Victorian Industrial architecture with dramatic and chic design that is open to each couple’s own romantic interpretation.
Trillium Park on Toronto’s waterfront is one of our favourite spots to shoot at within the city. With every passing season, it feels like the park is transformed – with the ever-changing blooms and seasonal colours, we never quite know what to expect when we arrive at Trillium. But between the varied green spaces, unique sculptures and architecture, the gorgeous lake views, and the stunning Toronto skyline in the background, we never get bored creating an experience and memories for our couples at Trillium Park.
Keri and Jeremy’s Archeo wedding in the Distillery District was one of those days that felt easy in the best way. Big laughs, real emotion, and a venue that photographs beautifully from day to night. If you are planning a wedding at Archeo, this post will show you what the day can look like and why this spot works so well for photos.
Welp, with the New Year’s Eve wedding of Rosie & Shayne now delivered, our 2019 wedding year is now officially closed. With all the craziness happening around the world right now, there is so much uncertainty for this year ahead of us, but instead of dwelling on the what-ifs, we want to celebrate all our amazing couples who helped us have the best year, all the couples who put their trust in us, and who gave us the space to create and capture stunning memories for them. THANK YOU!
When’s the last time you really celebrated New Year’s Eve with your family or friends? I know for us it’s been a while. Not too many people really celebrate New Year’s Eve nowadays - they just stay at home watching the countdown on TV (that’s if they can stay awake long enough). Bars and restaurants charge exuberant fees for special New Year’s Eve menus, plus they can be so crowded, which is not always the most fun... so that’s why we adore the idea of New Year’s Eve weddings.
From snowy portraits and elegant vows to a DJ set by the groom himself, Stacey & Vince’s wedding at The Arlington Estate was the perfect blend of winter romance and epic party vibes.
…depending on how you look at it, the plan either totally backfired, or totally rocked, because within a few minutes several bottles were emptied, and our couple had a lot of kissing to do.
Imagine standing a top of a mountain peak, surrounded by snow-peaked mountains that appear through occasional breaks in the clouds. The wind is furiously trying to unravel your hair and the cold stings your hands, but none of that matters. You are holding the hands of the love of your life, looking into their tear-filled eyes as they say their vows to you, promising to love you for the rest of their lives.
Located in Niagara’s wine region, Stonewall Estates is 120 acres of family-owned and operated farm land, including vineyards, orchards, hop fields, forests, and water views. Arriving at the estate, it’s clear how much love goes into this picturesque property and how excited the family is to share the space with other families, families who come there to celebrate the start of a brand new family at their beautiful Stonewall Estates.
Erin and Kobina’s spring wedding at York Mills Gallery was a laughter-filled day, from start to finish. From the very first time we met this fun-loving duo, we knew their big day will be an amazing celebration and a guaranteed good time, and how could it not be when they had Claudia and Chris from Claudia Cole Events coordinating, and a professional stand-up comic MCing their wedding.
Julie & Lawrence’s summer wedding at Madison Greenhouse had it all—an outdoor garden ceremony, epic party vibes, and gorgeous portraits in one of our fave venues.
The One King West wedding of Kim and Milan was a glamorously royal affair - with purple and gold as their theme colours, what else could we expect?
When we initially met with Kim and Milan, it was evident that they were enjoying the wedding planning process and that they already had a vision for their big day. This Ancaster Mill winter wedding had everything I love about cold weather weddings in Ontario: snowy portraits, cozy details, a first look by the waterfall, a romantic ceremony inside Miller’s Chapel, and one of the sweetest reception moments I have ever photographed.
Who knew lettuce could spark a love story? Megan & Cole’s culinary school engagement shoot at Georgian College was goofy, heartfelt, and one for the books.
I am always down for an adventure, especially when that adventure takes us out to Prince Edward County, and it’s for an engagement shoot with an awesome couple. Kim and Milan, were so pumped for the shoot when they came to pick us up for the long drive. They just couldn’t wait to get at Prince Edward County and relive one of the best days of their life, when Milan proposed to Kim during their stay at the Drake Devonshire in Prince Edward County, the most romantic and luxurious hotels and venues in the area.
A winter wedding at Toronto’s most iconic castle? Yes please. Laura & Alen’s Casa Loma celebration had it all — emotion, elegance, and one epic party.

Diego and I love winter, albeit for very different reasons. Being an avid snowboarder, Diego loves the cold and the snow. Me, on the other hand, I’ve only started to learn snowboarding, and I’m not a fan of the cold and snow. I just love the holidays, family time, and the festive decorations everywhere.

A lakeside sunset, a Brazilian-style celebration, and two grooms radiating joy. Christopher and Luilson’s Argonaut Rowing Club wedding was vibrant, emotional, and full of unforgettable moments.

The day after Anita and Alex’s wedding at Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort, they put the wedding outfits back on for one more round of photos. We started on the tennis court because that is where their story began, then took a golf cart to the beach for sunset portraits by the water. It was relaxed, personal, fun, and very PEI in the best way.
