Distillery District Toronto Christmas Market Engagement
Diego and I love winter, albeit for very different reasons. Being an avid snowboarder, Diego loves the cold and the snow. Me, on the other hand, I’ve only started to learn snowboarding, and I’m not a fan of the cold and snow. I just love the holidays, family time, and the festive decorations everywhere. Last year, I introduced Diego to the awesomeness that are Christmas markets. I absolutely adore Christmas markets, and it looks like that rubbed off on Diego a bit as well, as when Laura and Alen decided to do their engagement photoshoot at the Toronto Christmas Market, both our eyes lit up in excitement.
The Toronto Christmas Market transforms the Distillery District every year with festive little shops and vendors, carolers by the Christmas tree, and of course, all the beautiful lights. This year, the Distillery District truly outdid itself. Holiday lights were absolutely everywhere at the Christmas market. As wedding photographers in Toronto, this was a dream come true.
While Laura and Alen were originally a little hesitant to do a winter photoshoot because of the cold, we all bundled up and had a blast together. Weaving through the paths, we discovered new light patterns at every corner. Love signs, hearts and stars, Christmas tree lights, and even a light tunnel. Laura and Alen happily cozied up for every shot, and while Alen told us he was not comfortable in front of the camera, you would have never known it by watching him interact with Laura as we snapped away.
A visit to the Toronto Christmas Market wouldn't have been complete without a ride on the merry-go-round and a cup of steaming rich hot chocolate from Maisonette to warm us up!! Laura and Alen, thank you for braving the cold with us! :)
And if you are a wedding photographer in the GTA, a visit to the Toronto Christmas market with your couple is a must!! Happy Holidays!!!

Two words that I never thought would go together as well as they do are in fact the perfect description for The Fermenting Cellar wedding of Stephanie & Reilly-James - Industrial Romantic. Distilleries are inherently not the most romantic of places, especially when compared to their counterparts, the Wineries, with their romantic couples’ getaways to vineyards where couples sample the most popular elixir of lovers.
Emille and Kleber's engagement shoot at Humber Bay Park was inspired by the engagement shoot we did at Humber Bay for Patricia and Gavin. Emille and Kleber loved the park's wild nature, the great cityscape view you get from across the lake, and the gorgeous sunset view it offered. It's hard to find a really good unobstructed spot for sunset watching in the city, and this is one of them!
Trillium Park on Toronto’s waterfront is one of our favourite spots to shoot at within the city. With every passing season, it feels like the park is transformed – with the ever-changing blooms and seasonal colours, we never quite know what to expect when we arrive at Trillium. But between the varied green spaces, unique sculptures and architecture, the gorgeous lake views, and the stunning Toronto skyline in the background, we never get bored creating an experience and memories for our couples at Trillium Park.
