York Mills Gallery Wedding
Erin and Kobina’s spring wedding at York Mills Gallery was a laughter-filled day, from start to finish. From the very first time we met this fun-loving duo, we knew their big day will be an amazing celebration and a guaranteed good time, and how could it not be when they had Claudia and Chris from Claudia Cole Events coordinating, and a professional stand-up comic MCing their wedding.
Erin got ready with her ladies and family at home, which features a fabulous bright red wall and floor-to-ceiling windows with tons of natural light flooding in. Erin looked absolutely stunning thanks to some Shena Salmon Makeup magic and the jaw-dropping Stella York wedding dress.
Kobina got ready with his boys at his family home. We heard so much about his purple suit that we just couldn’t wait to get the boys dressed and see Kobina rocking his suit in all its purple glory. Before putting on this much talked about purple suit, the boys hung around and cracked jokes non-stop. Even as they were getting dressed, it was jokes, on jokes, on jokes. Definitely set the mood for the rest of the day.
Erin and Kobina had their first look at the gorgeous Aga Khan Museum grounds. With spring well underway, the grounds of Aga Khan were lush and in full bloom. Erin and Kobo looked oh so happy and fabulous as they walked hand in hand around the Aga Khan gardens for their formal portraits. Erin’s bouquet from Luv With Flowers perfectly complimented the warm spring weather and Kobina’s purple suit, of course. Keeping with the purple theme, Erin and Kobina handed out purple smoke bombs for their wedding party’s portrait grand finale. Incorporating the smoke bombs into their wedding party’s pictures was such a fun idea that the wedding party had a blast with, and it added a gorgeous splash of purple to their photos.
The ceremony was held at York Mills Gallery’s brand new outdoor ceremony space. How brand new? Well, we had the pleasure of being the first photographers to capture a ceremony at this lovely outdoor space. Surrounded by tall green hedges and trees, it’s easy to forget that York Mills Gallery and its intimate outdoor ceremony space are actually located right off of a busy street in Toronto.
The reception was held at York Mills Gallery’s YMG2 space, a room beautifully decorated with overhanging bistro lights and purple lights to match Erin and Kobina’s theme. Between the MC’s jokes, the hilarious speeches, and the jam packed dance floor that saw some pretty funky dance moves, the whole evening was a non-stop party. Thank you Erin and Kobo for such a purple, hilarious, and fabulous day!

While we were at Madsen’s Greenhouse just recently to capture a Winter wedding, Rachel and Joe`s March wedding at Madsen`s Greenhouse was definitely so unique and so special - their playful spirits and their deep love for their dog, Tobi, was evident in every little detail of the wedding. No matter where you looked, you could feel Rachel and Joe’s personalities and love for each other and for Tobi shine through. For us, there is no better way to describe Rachel and Joe’s wedding than as Whimsical Puppy Love!
