Woodbine Beach Sunrise Engagement Shoot
Let me tell you, Diego and I are not morning people. Not even a tiny bit. But when an amazingly cool couple, like Christine and Cesar, tells us they want to do a sunrise engagement shoot, we are out of bed and on site long before the couple has arrived. Unlike sunset engagement shoots, where we can take our time enjoying the sunset colours, the peak moments of a sunrise come and go in what feels like a few seconds, so we have to be prepared with ideas to take advantage of every beautiful moment.
The morning of Christine and Cesar’s Woodbine Beach sunrise engagement shoot, Diego and I arrived while it was still pitch black. We were surprised to see that we were not the only ones at the beach already waiting for the sun to break through the horizon. Christine and Cesar arrived soon after us, and we were so excited to finally meet them in person and feel their energy. They were both so bubbly, chatty, and giggly. It was like reuniting with old friends. We couldn’t wait to get started!
We were ready to start shooting right as the sun rose up above the horizon at Woodbine Beach, however, that morning the sky was cloudy and hazy, which had us waiting a bit longer until the sun gave us enough light and colour to start shooting. Once we started, everything fell into place. The sun peaked from behind the clouds long enough to give us beautiful yellow sunrise light, the water was calm and still, only disturbed by the occasional squabbling seagulls and a few majestic swans who photobombed many of the shots, and Christine and Cesar continued to be their adorable and giggly selves, ready to do anything for the right shot.
With the sun now nice and high up in the sky, and after running around on the beach, Christine and Cesar were ready to cool off and jump right into the water. Cesar donned his dad’s cowboy hat for the occasion, looking extra fly, while Christine’s gorgeous bright floral dress gently floated around them as they cuddled up to each other and played in the water. If we were at all sleepy when we arrived at Woodbine Beach that morning for the sunrise engagement shoot, Christine and Cesar’s energy definitely woke us up and left us feeling so energized and happy, and with our hearts full.
Christine and Cesar, thank you so much for such a wonderful morning, and now, we cannot wait to see you two get married. We know it’s going to be an epic day!
