St. George’s Golf and Country Club Winter Wedding
Some weddings just feel like a warm hug in the middle of winter. That’s exactly what Sarah and Glen’s day was — emotional, joyful, and wrapped in all the charm that comes with twinkling lights, snowy portraits, and a lot of love.
A Love Story That Started with Caroling
This wasn’t just a winter wedding for the aesthetic (though let’s be honest, St. George’s Golf and Country Club covered in fresh snow is a Toronto photographer’s dream). Sarah and Glen’s entire relationship started during the holidays — they met while Christmas caroling with friends, and their love grew through cozy winter moments filled with music, skating, and shared joy. So yeah, a December wedding? Meant to be.
The Wedding Day
When the big day arrived, it was everything we hoped for and more — with a fresh coat of snow, glowing Christmas lights throughout the venue, and all the emotion you could possibly pack into one day.
Sarah got ready inside the historic venue, her dress paired with a faux fur shawl that made her look like something out of a winter fairytale. As she stepped outside for her first look with Glen, you could feel the energy shift — the nerves, the excitement, the quiet moment before everything began.
And Glen’s reaction? Worth the wait. He was floored. So were we.
Despite the cold, Sarah and Glen were total champs. We ran outside for snowy couple portraits, dodged icy patches, and worked fast to get them back inside (Sarah was standing in heels in the snow, after all!). But through it all, they were beaming. Every photo just kept getting better.
Moments That Hit Different
After thawing out hands and toes with a space heater and a blow-dryer (true behind-the-scenes magic), the bridal party took a moment to pray together before the ceremony. It was quiet, heartfelt, and so powerful — a reminder of the love and intention behind this day.
The ceremony itself was magical. Christmas trees twinkled, candles flickered, and the room glowed with warmth. Sarah and Glen held hands, exchanged smiles, were lifted by prayer, and surrounded by friends who shared words and music that brought the room to tears. You couldn’t help but feel it.
A First Dance to Remember
Once the “I dos” were sealed and the reception space was being set up, Sarah and Glen shared their first dance in the middle of the rotunda — with their guests looking down from the balconies above. It felt like a movie. And from there, Glen owned the dance floor. His moves? Legendary. Their energy? Contagious. It was a celebration in every sense of the word.

When’s the last time you really celebrated New Year’s Eve with your family or friends? I know for us it’s been a while. Not too many people really celebrate New Year’s Eve nowadays - they just stay at home watching the countdown on TV (that’s if they can stay awake long enough). Bars and restaurants charge exuberant fees for special New Year’s Eve menus, plus they can be so crowded, which is not always the most fun... so that’s why we adore the idea of New Year’s Eve weddings.
Shooting a wedding at Casa Loma is a Toronto wedding photographer’s dream come true, and Diego and I got this amazing opportunity at Laura and Alen’s wedding at the start of our wedding season for the year.
Laura and Alen originally had very different plans for their wedding venue and Casa Loma had not been in the picture until just a couple of months before the wedding. Crazy enough, Diego and I had driven past Casa Loma and remarked how cool it would be to shoot a wedding there just minutes before receiving the email from Laura and Alen telling us about the venue location change due to unforeseen circumstances.
The One King West wedding of Kim and Milan was a glamorously royal affair - with purple and gold as their theme colours, what else could we expect? When we initially met with Kim and Milan, it was evident that they were enjoying the wedding planning process and that they already had a vision for their big day. Spending quality time and celebrating with their family and friends was a priority. They wanted to truly soak in every moment of the day stress-free, be present, and have fun. Thanks to the careful planning of Trevor from Trevents, Kim and Milan got just that!
