Liuna Station Wedding
Toronto weather is wild — and spring is a gamble. One day it’s pouring, the next it feels like July. But somehow, the stars aligned for Jeanine and Reza’s wedding day. We’re talking sunshine, blossoms in full bloom, and the kind of perfect May light we always hope for.
Their celebration at Liuna Station in Hamilton had everything: personal touches, stunning architecture, a pet-friendly ceremony, and a samba-fueled dance floor that didn’t stop.
Getting Ready + Cherry Blossoms in Bloom
The morning kicked off with laughter, sunshine, and the buzz of anticipation. Jeanine and Reza were getting ready in separate spaces, but both were full of joy and energy — the kind you can feel the moment you walk in. Friends were helping with last touches, outfits were coming together, and their adorable pups (aka the flower girl and ring bearer!) were fully dressed and ready to walk the aisle.
Before heading to Liuna Station, we made a stop at Bayfront Park for the first look and portraits — and honestly? It was magic. Cherry blossoms were in peak bloom, and somehow we had a whole row of them to ourselves. No crowds. No chaos. Just this amazing couple walking hand-in-hand through the petals, surrounded by spring colour and soft light. A Toronto wedding photographer’s dream? Absolutely.
The Grandness of Liuna Station
Then it was time for the main event. Liuna Station is one of those venues that takes your breath away when you walk in. Warm lights, gold accents, architectural detail everywhere. Jeanine told us early on how much she loved the space — and standing there, we could see exactly why. The ceremony room felt regal but still intimate, and capturing their vows in that space was something special.
After the “I do’s,” guests enjoyed a polaroid-filled cocktail hour (yes, there were instant photos flying around!) before heading into a reception space that was full of personal details — from custom table numbers to a wedding cake alternative featuring Brazilian bem casado cookies instead of cake. So fun, so them.
The Party? Next Level.
Post-dinner, the celebration hit a whole new gear thanks to Toronto’s Tropicana Queens, who brought the energy with an epic samba performance. Guests didn’t stand a chance — within seconds the dance floor was packed, and by the time we left, it was still going strong.
Jeanine and Reza — thank you for letting us be part of this day. From the puppies to the polaroids, the cherry blossoms to the dance floor — it was a joy to capture it all. Can’t wait to hear what comes next for your little family. Beijos! 💛

For Diego and I, the most important part of any wedding is the people. It’s all about the people. All your favourite people gathered to celebrate one of the biggest days of your life. It’s the people who make you laugh uncontrollably as you are getting ready for your big day, and those that calm the nervous jitters as you are about to walk down the aisle, and all the ones breaking it down on the dancefloor with you at the end of the night, celebrating the start of your new adventure.
