Madison Greenhouse Wedding
Some weddings are elegant. Some are emotional. And then there are the rare gems that are just pure joy — Rachel & Joe’s wedding at Madsen’s Greenhouse was one of those. With their pup Tobi stealing the show, handwritten touches at every turn, and a healthy dose of silliness (Nerf war, anyone?), this day was as unique as it was heartfelt.
The Morning Vibes: RPGs, Nerf Guns, and Personal Touches
Joe kicked things off with his groomsmen and — of course — Tobi, their fluffy VIP. After a few rounds of an RPG board game and some laughs, the guys suited up. And let me tell you, Joe’s outfit had layers (literally). His suit lining had a custom nautical print, their wedding date was stitched inside, and his bracelet matched those gifted to the crew. Even his belt had their initials engraved. It was one of those mornings where every little detail mattered.
Once everyone was ready? Time for a full-on Nerf war in the basement. Tactical vests, barricades — it was a thing of beauty. Tobi sat that part out. Smart dog.
Meanwhile, Rachel was chilling with her bridesmaids at a bright, stylish Airbnb. The light coming through the bay window was perfect for bridal portraits, and Rachel was glowing. Her dress was soft and elegant, her accessories timeless, and her bridal crew? Just as radiant. She didn’t have Tobi with her that morning, but he made an appearance via her custom makeup bag — printed with one of their engagement photos. Yep. 🥲
First Look… with a Bowtie-Wearing Pup
Once at Madsen’s Greenhouse, Tobi got into his formal wear (aka his tiny suit) and helped walk his humans into their first look. The lush greenery and florals of Madison made for the dreamiest backdrop as Rachel and Joe saw each other for the first time. Their smiles were everything — and then came Tobi, proudly strutting toward them for his moment in the spotlight.
A Ceremony Full of Meaning (and Dog References 🐶)
Their ceremony setup was already stunning thanks to Madison’s signature greenhouse magic — vines, flowers, and chandeliers everywhere — but it was all the extra Rachel & Joe touches that made it theirs. Hanging crystal balls, soft spring colours, photo frames with memories, and a big bold LOVE sign welcomed their guests into the space.
But the most memorable moment? A poem reading by the best man: “How Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog” by Taylor Mali. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house — or a single person not giggling by the end. It was the perfect blend of humour, heart, and Tobi content.
A Reception Full of Food, Dancing & Jenga Advice
The reception was as thoughtful as it was fun. Guests were greeted with candlelight and photos, invited to leave marriage advice on Jenga pieces, and then treated to a full roast pig for cocktail hour (epic). DJ Rick kept the energy up while the MC led games, jokes, and surprise moments. Oh — and don’t forget the wine bottles decorated with Tobi stickers announcing table numbers. Yes, please.
Rachel & Joe — thank you for having us along for this one. Every corner of your day reflected the love you share, not just for each other, but for your people (and your pup). More weddings like this, please. 🐾

Stefanie and Eric’s December wedding in Madison Greenhouse was our final 2018 wedding. Normally, as we get ready on the morning of our last wedding for the year, it’s a bit of a bitter-sweet moment for us as we reflect on the amazing year that’s coming to an end, but this time around it was definitely more on the sweet side.
Erin and Kobina’s spring wedding at York Mills Gallery was a laughter-filled day, from start to finish. From the very first time we met this fun-loving duo, we knew their big day will be an amazing celebration and a guaranteed good time, and how could it not be when they had Claudia and Chris from Claudia Cole Events coordinating, and a professional stand-up comic MCing their wedding.
Laura and Alen originally had very different plans for their wedding venue and Casa Loma had not been in the picture until just a couple of months before the wedding. Crazy enough, Diego and I had driven past Casa Loma and remarked how cool it would be to shoot a wedding there just minutes before receiving the email from Laura and Alen telling us about the venue location change due to unforeseen circumstances.
