Berkeley Church Wedding

There wasn’t a single dull moment at Simone and Angelo’s Berkeley Church wedding – the whole day was overflowing with friendship, laughter, and love. Simone and Angelo were always surrounded by their closest friends and family, who kept them laughing and smiling from early morning to the end of the party. The boys, childhood friends, were cracking jokes and mercilessly teasing each other while getting ready at the Grand Hotel and Suites, even joining Angelo in the shower for his shower pictures before putting on his navy blue Indochino suit (the shower photos were the theme of the groomsmen jokes for the rest of the day). The ladies and Simone’s brother, helped Simone get ready at the stunning 2-floor suite at the Grand Hotel and Suites – bright and spacious, it was the perfect space for Simone to show-off her final look to her squad, who couldn’t stop gushing as Simone descended down the stairs, looking absolutely breath-taking in her Town & Country Bridal dress and with her delicate Wicker Too bridal bouquet, and oh so glamorous thanks to the Nish Beauty team.

Although it was a rainy afternoon, Simone and Angelo met on the rooftop terrace of the Grand Hotel and Suites for their first look - an emotional and beautiful moment shared between them two, with Simone’s siblings looking on tearfully from a distance. As the rain grew stronger, we quickly made our way to The Berkley Church to capture the formal couple portraits and the bridal party portraits.

When we arrived at Berkley Church, we did a quick huddle with Ophelie, our phenomenal coordinator for the day from Something Blue Decor Co., who made sure the whole day ran seamlessly. Once we were all set, we explored Berkley Church, a charming and historic event venue in the heart of downtown Toronto, with Simone and Angelo for their couple portraits. Berkley Church offered so many unique features and spaces to create beautiful portraits for Simone and Angelo and to capture their playful relationship, from the gorgeous mezzanine, with 17ft high stained-glass windows that overlook the grand ballroom and their overhanging bistro lights, to the lower-level Victorian-style lounge, with its exposed stone walls and wine cellar. An absolutely stunning wedding venue space!

The ceremony was held on the mezzanine, with all of Simone and Angelo’s closest friends and relatives looking on as they said their heartfelt vows to each other and exchanged rings. Their deep love for each other and each other’s families, and the playful nature of their relationship was evident in their vows, and had all their guests alternating between laughing at their silliness, and crying in memory of family members who couldn’t be there with them. It was a beautiful and touching ceremony we are honoured to have captured.

Now the reception at Simone and Angelo’s wedding was definitely one for the books with multiple surprises planned for Simone all throughout the evening! From a surprise K-Pop dance performance from Angelo and the bridal party, to an emotional and surprise performance from Simone’s rock star brother for Simone’s dance with her mother. It was an insanely amazing experience seeing all the guests on the dance floor cheering him on as he delivered an unbelievable performance along with the BPM Krew band and Fusion Events. And right before opening the dance floor to all the guests, Simone and Angelo invited friends and family to join them for a money dance, where guests pinned dollar bills to the couple’s clothes in exchange for a dance with them. There was no shortage of participants as the guests queued up for their turn. Once the dance floor opened up, the band kicked it up a notch and had everyone dancing up a storm. And for those who needed to refuel with a midnight snack, a Glory Hole donut wall and a table piled up high with McDonalds was available up on the mezzanine to make sure all the guests can keep celebrating these amazing newly weds all night long. What a day, Simone and Angelo. Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your beautiful day!

The Arlington Estate Winter Wedding - Stacey & Vince

There is something so romantic about winter weddings. Maybe it’s the fresh snow glittering in the sun, or perhaps it’s the classy and elegant fur wraps that make you want to curl up by a fireplace, but whatever it is, winter weddings never fail to impress us and Stacey and Vince’s winter wedding at the stunning Arlington Estate was no exception.

Winona Vine Estates Wedding - Jen and Steve

For Diego and I, the most important part of any wedding is the people. It’s all about the people. All your favourite people gathered to celebrate one of the biggest days of your life. It’s the people who make you laugh uncontrollably as you are getting ready for your big day, and those that calm the nervous jitters as you are about to walk down the aisle, and all the ones breaking it down on the dancefloor with you at the end of the night, celebrating the start of your new adventure.

Whistler Mountain Destination Wedding - Patria & Sam

Imagine standing a top of a mountain peak, surrounded by snow-peaked mountains that appear through occasional breaks in the clouds. The wind is furiously trying to unravel your hair and the cold stings your hands, but none of that matters. You are holding the hands of the love of your life, looking into their tear-filled eyes as they say their vows to you, promising to love you for the rest of their lives.
