Eglinton Grand Wedding in Toronto | Danielle & Brent

Eglinton Grand Wedding Photographer in Toronto

Planning a wedding at The Eglinton Grand in Toronto? This venue is one of those places that either clicks with you instantly… or completely changes how you see wedding venues. It’s not bright, it’s not minimal, and it’s definitely not your typical ballroom. It’s moody, cinematic, and full of character. And if that’s your vibe, there’s honestly nothing like it in the city.

Danielle and Brent leaned right into that energy. From the start, their plan wasn’t just to have a wedding, it was to create an experience. Something fun, emotional, and very them. And The Eglinton Grand was the perfect place to bring that to life.

Getting Ready and First Look at Osgoode Hall

We started the day at Osgoode Hall for their first look, and this is always one of my favourite ways to begin a wedding day. It slows everything down. Before the ceremony, before the timeline gets tight, before the party starts… you get a moment that’s just yours.

Osgoode Hall is one of those locations that always delivers. The architecture, the symmetry, the way light moves through the space, it creates a clean and timeless backdrop without feeling staged. Danielle and Brent kept things simple. No overthinking, no forced posing. Just real reactions, a few laughs, and that mix of nerves and excitement that always shows up in the best way during a first look. We flowed straight into portraits and wedding party photos, using the space around Osgoode Hall to keep everything natural and easy.

Wedding Ceremony in Toronto Church

Their ceremony took place in a beautiful church in Toronto, and the energy completely shifted here. This is where everything starts to feel real. The walk down the aisle, the reactions from family, the quiet moments in between… it all hits differently in a ceremony space like this.

One of the things we planned ahead was a full group photo of everyone inside the church. It’s always worth it. You get everyone in one frame, all the people who showed up for you, all the energy in one place. It’s one of those photos that only becomes more meaningful over time.

Eglinton Grand Wedding Reception

And then we got to The Eglinton Grand. Every time I walk into this venue, it feels different. The space just has presence. The theatre layout, the lighting, the way the room wraps around the couple, it turns everything into a moment. Danielle and Brent’s reception had everything. Cocktail hour flowed straight into speeches, and the energy just kept building. You could feel it. People were ready to celebrate.

And then their first dance. If you’re planning a wedding at The Eglinton Grand, this is one of the moments that makes the venue so special. The curtains open, the couple is centered on the dance floor, and your guests are watching from above like you’re on stage. It doesn’t feel like a wedding. It feels like a performance. And it photographs exactly like that.

Party at The Eglinton Grand

By the time the dance floor opened, it was full. Not kind of full. FULL. This is where The Eglinton Grand really comes alive. The lighting gets deeper, the colours pop, and everything feels more intense in the best way. Danielle and Brent fully embraced it. No holding back, no worrying about how things looked, just being present and enjoying it. Those are always the best parties to photograph.

Night Portraits at The Eglinton Grand Marquee

We stepped outside later in the night for portraits in front of The Eglinton Grand marquee, and this is something I always try to build into the timeline. The sign, the lights, the street, it gives you something completely different from the inside of the venue. And for a New Year’s Eve wedding, it just hits even harder. It feels like the city is part of the celebration.

Why The Eglinton Grand is One of the Best Wedding Venues in Toronto

There’s a reason this is one of my favourite venues to photograph in Toronto. It’s not easy. The lighting is tricky. The space is dark. You actually have to understand how to use light to make it work. But that’s exactly why it stands out. When it’s done right, nothing looks like it. You get depth, contrast, mood, and a feeling that’s way more cinematic than anything you’d get in a traditional venue.

If you’re someone who wants something different, something bold, something that feels like you instead of a template, The Eglinton Grand is one of the best choices you can make.
