The Manor Wedding
Some weddings just feel alive from the second they start — full of laughter, emotion, and non-stop energy. Jimmy and Anna’s wedding? It was all that and more.
From the very first meeting, we knew their day would be unforgettable. They’re the kind of couple who radiate fun. So when they told us they were planning a wedding with big families, music at the heart of everything, and a party that wouldn’t quit — we were in.
Family, Love & a Touch of Rain
The morning of the wedding was one of those typical unpredictable Toronto days — rain, sunshine, repeat. But the mood? Total joy. Both family homes were buzzing. Jimmy’s place was packed with loved ones, some of whom had travelled from abroad. And over at Anna’s, things were extra special — she’s one of four sisters and a triplet (yes, really!), so it was a full house in the best way.
There was laughter. There was chaos. There were sweet little moments that had us smiling behind the camera.
One of the most touching parts of the day came before the ceremony. Jimmy and his family stopped at the cemetery to pay their respects to his father — a quiet, emotional moment we were honoured to witness. The light rain made the whole moment even more powerful. Sometimes, weather just adds to the story.
A Ceremony Full of Personality
The wedding ceremony took place at St. Patrick’s Parish in Markham, a beautiful, traditional Roman Catholic church. But even during the formalities, Jimmy and Anna were sneaking cheeky grins at each other — little glimpses of the fun that was still to come.
Changing Plans, Keeping the Vibe
Originally, we had planned to head to a nearby park for portraits, but the drizzle had other ideas. So we rolled with it. We hung out with the couple and their bridal party at their hotel — dancing, laughing, and yes, pre-partying just a little before the main event.
By the time we arrived at The Manor Event Venue byPeterandPauls.com, the sun had finally made an appearance — perfect timing. The grounds gave us beautiful light and a lakefront backdrop that made the couple portraits feel cinematic.
A Party Worthy of a Playlist
Jimmy and Anna’s love of music ran through the whole day. Their seating chart? Custom-designed with vinyl album covers. Their friends? Made a surprise video sharing which songs reminded them of the couple. The reception playlist? Fire. Every track had people jumping, spinning, shouting lyrics, and fully living it up on the dance floor.
We say this all the time — the dance floor is our favourite part of any wedding. And this one? Absolutely went off. By the time we packed up, we were sweaty, smiling, and still singing our favourite tracks in the car on the way home.
Jimmy & Anna — thank you for the laughter, the emotion, and one of the best dance floors we’ve ever seen. This one’s going down in the books.

Many of our family and friends are often surprised to hear that Diego and I work year-round shooting weddings. There is an assumption that the wedding season in Canada begins in the Spring and that we have the entire winter to relax and enjoy some time off. Most just cannot fathom standing outdoors in the frigid Canadian weather, posing for photos, wearing, well, not a whole lot...

The venue they chose for their wedding was Archeo at Distillery District. This wasn't the first time I had photographed a wedding at Archeo, Heather and Salar could not have picked a better place for the special day, it’s one our favorite venue in Toronto, not only because of the Distillery District has so many spots for great photos, but Archeo has one of the best food and lovely people working at.
