Weston Golf and Country Club Wedding
Some weddings feel like a hug — warm, thoughtful, full of laughter and quiet emotion. That was the vibe for Emily and Manuel’s celebration at Weston Golf and Country Club. From the heartfelt church ceremony to the traditional Vietnamese tea ritual and a surprise serenade (yep, that happened), this wedding was packed with meaning.
Morning Games & Meaningful Moments
We kicked off the day at Emily’s family home, where she was already getting glammed up with her bridesmaids. The house felt like a soft buzz — makeup brushes, dresses hanging by windows, and that little edge of excitement that only a wedding morning has. Her girls were laughing, helping each other zip up dresses, and sneaking hugs every chance they got.
Over at Manuel’s? It was a different kind of pre-wedding energy: board game chaos. The groomsmen had started a game right as we walked in — complete with outrageous product pitches and nonstop laughter. (And yes, Manuel pulled the “Newlywed” card. You can’t make this stuff up.) But under all that fun, there were also quiet moments. As Manuel got dressed, you could see it hit — this was the day.
A Ceremony That Hit the Heart
The ceremony took place at Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Woodbridge — one of those spaces that immediately feels sacred. Tall gothic ceilings, dramatic chandeliers, stained-glass light painting the pews — it was a perfect setting for something real.
Emily and Manuel’s vows were full of emotion. They held hands tight. You could see it in their eyes: this wasn’t just tradition, it was deeply personal. Their families watched with proud smiles and misty eyes. These are the kinds of moments we live to photograph.
Portraits on the Green (Yes, Golf Carts Were Involved)
After the ceremony, we headed over to Weston Golf and Country Club, and wow — this venue doesn’t miss. Elegant interiors, that soft golden-hour light on the course, and all the space you need to roam (or ride) in style.
We jumped on some golf carts with the bridal party, laughed our way across the greens, and found the perfect light for couple portraits. These two have such a natural connection — easy laughs, soft looks, the kind of chemistry you don’t need to pose.
Tea Ceremony & A Surprise Serenade
Before dinner, Emily and Manuel changed into traditional Vietnamese outfits for an intimate tea ceremony with their families. These quiet cultural moments always carry so much weight — full of respect, legacy, and heartfelt blessings.
Then came the reception. Speeches, food, dancing — and one major surprise. Emily, with the help of her bridesmaids, serenaded Manuel. Like… actually sang to him. And he was completely floored. That moment? One of our favourites of the whole night.

Imagine standing a top of a mountain peak, surrounded by snow-peaked mountains that appear through occasional breaks in the clouds. The wind is furiously trying to unravel your hair and the cold stings your hands, but none of that matters. You are holding the hands of the love of your life, looking into their tear-filled eyes as they say their vows to you, promising to love you for the rest of their lives.
Shooting a wedding at Casa Loma is a Toronto wedding photographer’s dream come true, and Diego and I got this amazing opportunity at Laura and Alen’s wedding at the start of our wedding season for the year.
Laura and Alen originally had very different plans for their wedding venue and Casa Loma had not been in the picture until just a couple of months before the wedding. Crazy enough, Diego and I had driven past Casa Loma and remarked how cool it would be to shoot a wedding there just minutes before receiving the email from Laura and Alen telling us about the venue location change due to unforeseen circumstances.
It’s phenomenal how just a few personal touches can completely transform a wedding. While we were at Madsen’s Greenhouse just recently to capture a Winter wedding, Rachel and Joe`s March wedding at Madsen`s Greenhouse was definitely so unique and so special - their playful spirits and their deep love for their dog, Tobi, was evident in every little detail of the wedding. No matter where you looked, you could feel Rachel and Joe’s personalities and love for each other and for Tobi shine through. For us, there is no better way to describe Rachel and Joe’s wedding than as Whimsical Puppy Love!
