Hacienda Sarria Wedding
Some weddings just hit that sweet spot of beauty, emotion, and pure fun — and Cierra & Matt’s spring wedding at Hacienda Sarria gave us all of that and more. Honestly, the moment I stepped inside the venue, I felt like I had been transported straight into a Spanish fairytale. Vaulted ceilings, old-world architecture, cozy garden nooks, and moody candlelight — this place is a photographer’s dream. And lucky me, I had Cierra & Matt in front of my lens.
Getting Ready: Chill Vibes + Champagne Cheers
Matt was all smiles when I arrived at his hotel room at Four Points by Sheraton. It was one of those easygoing mornings where the guys were relaxed, beers were cracked, speeches were being rehearsed, and someone (usually the best man) was panicking about his pocket square.
Meanwhile, over at the bridal suite at Hacienda Sarria, Cierra and her crew were in full glam mode — hair, makeup, brunch, and bubbles. The excitement was building, and when Cierra finally slipped into her Pronovias gown from The Modern Bride, the reactions from her girls were absolutely priceless. There were gasps. There were tears. There were a lot of iPhone photos. 😂
Ceremony in the Hacienda Ballroom
Now, Matt held it together all morning… until the moment he saw Cierra walking down the aisle. That was it. Total heart-melt. She looked incredible, and the love in that room was palpable. Their ceremony was officiated by Matt’s aunt, which made everything even more personal. It was short, sweet, and full of happy tears. The moment they walked out of that ballroom hand-in-hand — the energy was unreal.
Couple Portraits Around Hacienda (AKA Heaven for Photographers)
Hacienda Sarria is one of those places where you could shoot in any direction and get something gorgeous. We barely had to walk — the gardens, the textured walls, the patios — it was all magic. And these two? They made everything easy. After portraits, they took a moment to chill with sangria in hand before making their grand entrance into the courtyard as newlyweds.
Reception in the Indoor Courtyard
Cierra & Matt’s reception felt like a scene from a movie. Picture towering florals by Jodi Leigh Designs, romantic candlelight, twinkling bistro lights overhead, and 40-foot ceilings that make everything feel epic. The speeches were hilarious and heartfelt (yes, there were tears again), and yes — there was a giant tub of sauerkraut gifted as a family joke that definitely stole the show.
Party Mode: Activated
The first dance brought us back into the ballroom, and the vibe was instantly electric. Cierra and her dad had everyone cheering with their funky moves, and Matt’s dance with his mom brought all the warm fuzzies. From there, the dance floor just took off. Nonstop movement, great music, and pure joy all around.
Cierra & Matt — thank you for bringing the energy, the warmth, and the full-out fun. You two were a dream to photograph, and Hacienda Sarria was the perfect stage for it all ❤️

It’s no secret — I love shooting weddings at Hacienda Sarria. The venue oozes romance and sophistication. From the dramatic indoor courtyard to the Mediterranean-inspired exterior and cozy garden corners, everything is effortlessly photogenic. It’s perfect for couples who want elegance without the stuffy vibe. Plus, the light? Chefs kiss.

The One King West wedding of Kim and Milan was a glamorously royal affair - with purple and gold as their theme colours, what else could we expect? When we initially met with Kim and Milan, it was evident that they were enjoying the wedding planning process and that they already had a vision for their big day. Spending quality time and celebrating with their family and friends was a priority. They wanted to truly soak in every moment of the day stress-free, be present, and have fun. Thanks to the careful planning of Trevor from Trevents, Kim and Milan got just that!
There is something so romantic about winter weddings. Maybe it’s the fresh snow glittering in the sun, or perhaps it’s the classy and elegant fur wraps that make you want to curl up by a fireplace, but whatever it is, winter weddings never fail to impress us and Stacey and Vince’s winter wedding at the stunning Arlington Estate was no exception.
Walking into Hacienda Sarria in Kitchener, it is easy to forget you are not actually standing in a luxury 5-star European hotel because Hacienda Sarria is unlike any other venue we’ve ever been in – it’s a luxurious Spanish dream. Hacienda Sarria actually used to be a sugar beet mill that was constructed in 1902, and while the mill itself was short lived, the sweetness of the property lives on with each couple that creates their wedding day memories at Hacienda.
