Distillery District Archeo Wedding
Officially Archeo at Distillery District is the venue that I shot most of my weddings, and let me tell something, every time I come back, there’s a different feeling. And this time with Rachel and Ajay wasn’t different. And I hope to keep coming back more and more.
Getting Ready at One King West
The day already stared unusual at One King West with the getting ready, Rachel and Ajay was getting ready together until Rachel needed to put her dress. And that made such a good vibe with both of them there and their family and friends. I am super supportive with the couple to get ready together, and when the couple ask my opinion, you know the answer lol
As I already knew by the online meetings we had with them that, the day was going to be chill and fun, but I didn’t know that it would be that fun. It’s super normal for the couple to gift the wedding party with gifts in the wedding mornings, but this time, we got gifts OMGGG!!! The gave us the coolest shirts that you can have (If you are curious to see, check the photos lol).
First Look and Couple Portrait at Distillery District
One of the biggest reasons to love what I do are the couples we meet, the kind of people that meet on the way is the best part of my job. And you know why? Because the kind of clients that I have are clients that want the different, that want the unique, they like to be themselves. For the transportation from One King West to Distillery District, they went together by TTC with the wedding party, but that’s not the cool part, the cool part is that Ajay was blindfold the whole way (please look the photos, they are the best hilarious). They did that, because they wanted to do the first look, at Archeo.
With a beautiful, warm, sunny day, we didn’t need to walk too much at the distillery to get all the couple portraits we need. And of course the couple did put a lock with their initials at the love sign, I feel that’s so special when you come years after your wedding and look at your lock there :)
Wedding Ceremony at Archeo
After shooting Keri and Jeremy at Archeo and Stephanie and Reilly at Fermenting Cellar, it was so good to be back at Distillery.
Wedding ceremonies becomes even more special when the couples incorporate something personal, something that represents them. And when they bring their families to officiate or speak during the wedding ceremony, that brings it to another level. Ajay had his mom speaking during the ceremony and Rachel's dad was the officiant, that made the ceremony much more chill, fun and intimate. I acutely got an Inspiration award with one of the ceremony photos during the rings exchange. Sometimes getting an award winner photo is a meter of luck, obviously you have got to be on the right place for that to happen, and I was, right there under the hands (again, you have to check the photo to understand lol)
Reception at Archeo
The decor at Archeo is always fantastic, but the job of Stela from Stellar Events the tables decor were breathtaking.
With a lot good food, a lot of dancing and drinking, the evening went by so fast. They even made a custom drink “The Union Cocktail” and taught all the guesses how to make it during their speech, how cool? And I got the recipe for you guys lol (Pomegranate spritz with a shot of vodka)
But of course we couldn’t finish the night without making a cool portrait with Rachel and Ajay. At this time we had the help from Stela to test the lights before we call the couple, and she was an amazing model lol
I don’t even have to say how much fun we had that day. You guys is going to be always in our hearts and wardrobe lol
