A Summer Same-Sex Wedding at Argonaut Rowing Club | Adam & Geoff
Some weddings hit you in the heart in a way you don’t forget. Adam and Geoff’s celebration at Toronto's Argonaut Rowing Club was one of those days. It was warm, it was real, it was unapologetically them — a golden-hour queer wedding filled with love, laughter, and that kind of deep, quiet joy that stays with you.
Getting Ready Moments & a Quiet First Look
The day started in downtown Toronto with calm energy and a quiet kind of excitement. Adam and Geoff got ready in separate suites before meeting for a private first look. No audience, no pressure. Just the two of them, taking it all in.
One of the things I love most about queer weddings is how free they are to break the rules. Adam and Geoff made the day their own from the start. Their first look wasn’t for photos. It was for them. And it was beautiful. Just love, recognition, and that moment of everything clicking into place.
Sunset Portraits That Just Hit
After the ceremony, we stole a few minutes away from the crowd to let Adam and Geoff just be. The lake, the light, the energy between them — it all came together effortlessly.
They weren’t posing. They were cuddling, laughing, walking barefoot on the dock like it was just another perfect summer evening — except this one meant everything. It was the kind of golden hour photographers dream of. And the best part? It felt 100% natural.
Lakeside Ceremony at the Argonaut Rowing Club
The ceremony took place at the Argonaut Rowing Club — one of Toronto's best-kept wedding secrets. Nestled on the lakeshore, it offers a rare combo of peaceful waterfront and city accessibility.
Surrounded by their closest people, Adam and Geoff exchanged vows with the sound of the water in the background and golden sun streaming through the trees. It wasn’t just a formality. It was emotional, intentional, and deeply felt by everyone present.
There were happy tears, laughter, and those quiet glances that say, "We made it."
A Laid-Back Reception Full of Love (and Dancing)
Inside the Argonaut Rowing Club, the reception kept the same honest vibe. No fluff, no stress, no stiff traditions. Just a room full of people who love Adam and Geoff, sharing food, stories, and hitting the dance floor hard.
The speeches were hilarious and heartfelt. The vibes were laid-back but full of life. And when the lights went down, the party definitely went up. These two brought the energy and their crew matched it beat for beat.
This is what a queer wedding should feel like: authentic, joyful, rooted in community, and free.

This wasn’t my first time capturing a queer wedding at the Argonaut Rowing Club — and each one tells a completely different story. If you want to see another incredible celebration at this venue, check out Christopher & Luilson’s sunset wedding. Brazilian flair, golden light, and a carnival-style party that never slowed down.
