Casa Loma and The Eglinton Grand Wedding

I just went back to look at Alicia and Joel’s wedding photos, and OMG!!! What a fun and happy morning. I already knew their vibe from the Toronto Bridal Show when we first met a couple of years back, and after their engagement photos, I was 100% sure that the wedding day was going to rock. And knowing that they booked Casa Loma for the ceremony and The Eglinton Grand for the reception, two of my favourites venues, that day had everything to be one of the most beautiful weddings of the year for me, and it was :D

Getting Ready at Kimpton St. George Hotel

And the wedding day was there. Arriving at Kimpton St. George Hotel at the presidential suit the vibe was just how I expected, everyone super exited and having a lot of fun, and some mimosas obviously lol
One of the most important things for a wedding day to be a success is chosen well your wedding vendors, and in the morning I saw the Alicia and Joel chose their vendors really well, everybody fitted there. Haley McIntosh doing the makeup and Melek Chevket doing the girl’s hair, felt like they were Alicia’s friend, maybe they were ahahahah When everyone is there to have fun, that reflects on the photos.
I forgot to mention, when I arrived at the Kimpton St. George lobby, they had an amazing lighting art thing, that I really want to use for some portraits if we had time, and fortunately we did.

Wedding Ceremony at Casa Loma

It was so good to be back at Casa Loma, that was the first time we were going back after Laura and Alen Casa Loma wedding back in 2018. The ceremony at Conservatory room is just from another world, and with the flowers from Plush Flowers, it became even dreamier. When Alicia walked down the aisle with her stunning dress, Joel couldn’t hold the tiers.
One of the most emotional moments during the ceremony was when they gave to their moms the wrist flowers right there, they also gave to grandma. All those small personal elements made the ceremony much more special.
Right after the ceremony, we used the Conservatory room for some couple portraits. I never get tired of the architecture, that ceiling and that indoor garden are stunning. We also use the library for a dramatic photo (my signature lol). It was a beautiful sunny day, and we took advantage of that, doing some awesome photos of the Casa Loma outdoors.

Family and Wedding Party Photos at Alexander Muir

On our way to The Eglinton Grand, we made a quick stop at Alexander Muir Park to do all the family photos and wedding party photos. I love that park, it is in a great location and is never too crowded. With that fun group of people, we finished very quick and made our way to The Eglinton Grand for the reception time.

Reception at The Eglinton Grand

There’s not a single time that I go to The Eglinton Grand that I don’t get impressed by that place, so much texture, colors and that mood that you just find there, makes a perfect scenario for my style of photos.
Before the reception started, Alicia made her dress change to a stunning black dress that fitted so well with the theater mood. Of course, we did some photos in front of the venue with the classic 1950 convertible (Freddy Mercury Events), that car is just perfect for photos, with that blue popping color OMG!!!

The evening stared with the open curtain for the couple’s first dance, it is always a magical time. I think that first dance spot at The Eglinton Grand is one of the most beautiful spot for a first dance that I have ever seen. And how was expected by the vibe during the whole day, the evening was a lot of fun. We stayed up to the last song, dancing and singing with all the remaining guesses.

Alicia and Joel, your day was worth the wait!! What an amazing day. Thank you so much for trusting in us :D
