Bonfire Engagement Session
Emille and Kleber's engagement shoot at Humber Bay Park was inspired by the engagement shoot we did at Humber Bay for Patricia and Gavin. Emille and Kleber loved the park's wild nature, the great cityscape view you get from across the lake, and the gorgeous sunset view it offered. It's hard to find a perfect unobstructed spot for sunset watching in the city, and this is one of them!
Emille and Kleber had a really fun and playful way about them, especially with each other. So we thought it would be really fun to also incorporate a bonfire into the pictures once the sun was down, and to also play with sparklers. They loved the idea!! They had so much fun cuddling around the bonfire, roasting marshmallows, and then eating them, of course! Emille and Kleber are from Brazil, and roasting marshmallows is not common there at all. We had great fun capturing their first experience of roasting marshmallows around a bonfire, although I'm not sure if they loved the taste, but at least we got a lot of laughs in the process.
Once it was pitch dark, out came the sparklers for our grand finale. We had Emille and Kleber stand really still while we ran around them with the sparklers, creating light designs all around them. Usually these shots take a few tries to perfect, but this time, our very first try was our favorite. Light painting photos are so fun to create, and we absolutely love seeing the reactions of the couples when we show them what they were standing so still for! Emille and Kleber were absolutely in awe when we showed them the final result, and we couldn't have done it without their patient, trusting, and fun-loving attitudes!! It was a pleasure capturing your love, Emille and Kleber!!
